Minty Iced Green Tea
Steeped Chinese green tea with fresh mint sprigs. Chill and serve over ice for a cool refreshing drink.
Minty Iced Green Tea
Ingredients
1 tablespoon loose Chinese green tea leaves
8 cups boiling water
25 fresh mint sprigs
1/4 to 1/2 sugarDirections
Place tea in a 2 quart bowl. Pour boiling water over tea; cover and steep 2-1/2 minutes. Strain tea mixture through a fine sieve into a large container. Discard tea leaves. Add mint; steep 5 minutes. Add sugar to taste; stir until dissolved. Cool completely. Serve over ice, garnish with lemon slices if desired. 8 cups.TIP: For a lighter mint flavor, remove mint sprigs before chilling.
